A Helping Hand in the Rain
One rainy afternoon, I found myself standing in the middle of the street, holding an umbrella that was half broken. The rain poured down heavily, soaking my clothes completely. I was late for my English class and had no choice but to continue walking, hoping to find a taxi or a bus stop.
As I walked, I noticed a young woman ahead of me, also holding an umbrella. She stopped suddenly and looked around. Realizing she had lost her way, I approached her and asked if she needed help. She seemed relieved and explained she was looking for the bus station.
We walked together in the rain, our umbrellas making a symphony of sounds. Along the way, we chatted about her journey and where she was heading. She was going to visit her grandmother in the hospital, she said. I listened carefully, offering her some tips on buses and directions.
When we reached the bus station, she suddenly embraced me and said, "Thank you so much! I don't know what I would have done without you." I responded warmly, "I'm glad I could help!"
That day, I learned the value of kindness. A small act of helping someone in need can make a big difference. It also reminded me to always pay attention to those around me, especially when they seem lost or lonely.
