I Have a Friend

One day, I was walking home from school. It started raining heavily, and I had to cross the small bridge over the river to get to my house. As I walked, I heard someone call my name. Looking back, I saw my classmate, John, running towards me.

"Hi, do you need help?" he asked, out of breath.

"Yes, please!" I said, and he immediately offered to walk me home. It was really kind of him, especially since it was raining so much. We chatted all the way home, and I felt very happy.

From that day on, John and I became best friends. He is always there for me, and I know I can rely on him. Friendship is the best thing in life!
