A Letter in English

One day, I received a letter from my grandmother. It was in English, and it made me feel very happy because I knew it was written just for me. The envelope was yellow with a red border, and on the front, there was a picture of a cat. I immediately opened it to see what she had written inside.

The letter started with "Dear Granddaughter," and she wrote about how proud she was of me for learning English. She also sent me a picture of my favorite cat, Max, that she had taken many years ago. The picture was a little faded, but I could still see the happy expression on Max's face.

As I read more, I realized that the letter wasn't just about English. She talked about her life when she was my age and how she had learned to be strong and brave. She mentioned that learning a new language like English had been challenging for her, but she had never given up. Her words made me feel inspired.

I wrote back to her, thanking her for the letter and the picture. I told her that I would continue to work hard at my English lessons. I also asked her to write more often so that I could learn from her experiences.

After writing the letter, I felt a sense of happiness. It was not just because I had completed my English homework, but because I had connected with someone I loved deeply through the power of words. I knew that this letter would always remind me of the importance of perseverance and the joy of sharing our thoughts and feelings with others.

From that day forward, I made a promise to myself: I would not only practice my English but also keep writing letters to my grandmother. I wanted to share my life with her, just as she had shared her stories with me.
